Akela Constructions have been very busy at Keebra Park State High School with various projects around the school completed in July 2018.
Akela Constructions transformed the formerly drab entrance to the school. Instead of seeing the damaged concrete and basic mesh gate, now visitors to the school are welcomed with a smart new entryway. The concrete has been replaced, there is a striking astroturf area with signs sporting the school values of “know”, “perform” and “achieve” along the route to the administration block entrance. Akela updated the parent entry with new sheeting covering the brick work, replacing the carpet with vinyl planks, new doors and paint, and similar works were conducted in the finance room and one of the conference rooms including air-conditioning and adding new electrical, phone and data points. Two new astroturf areas were installed on both the eastern and western side of the adminstration entry and a new 5.0m x 5.9m covered roof extension was installed.
The works were staged to minimise disruption to the school, with some works completed during term time and some during the school holidays.
