Over the Dec/Jan 2017-18 school holidays Akela Constructions was awarded maintenance works at Elanora State High School. The project had several parts, including:
- Demountable D7 & D8 classrooms were converted to a Health Hub, with new vinyl flooring, installing plumbing to the building for new sinks and vanities and shower, and new window blinds and painting.
- New covered picnic seating on new concrete pads were installed outside.
- Student Centre refurbishment- new vinyl and carpet tile flooring was installed
- Resource Hub – Air conditioning was installed, including a new concrete plinth for the external units and a fence constructed around these units.
